Sunglasses…not just fashion accessories but tools to protect those eyes. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends wearing sunglasses that block 97-100% of UVA and UVB rays. Why does that matter you might be wondering? Over time, damage from UVA and UVB rays increase your risk of vision loss, glaucoma, and forms of eye cancer.
Sunscreen… doesn’t just protect you from getting wrinkles. It could actually save your life from deadly cancers like Melanoma. For best protection it’s recommended you limit your time in the peak sun hours 10AM- 4PM. Also reapplying your sunscreen every 2 hours or after you swim or sweat will give you the best UV blocking power.
